Get Sortcut running in 2 minutes.
You'll need: a desktop or laptop with Google Chrome (or Edge, Brave or Arc), a Google account to sign in, and an Instagram account to browse with.
Add Sortcut to Chrome
Open the Sortcut page on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome, then Add extension. The link goes live on launch day.
Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon at the top right of Chrome, find Sortcut and click the pin. The Sortcut icon now sits next to your address bar.
Sign in with Google
Click the Sortcut icon and choose Sign in with Google. No password to create. You start on the free plan. To upgrade, choose Pro Monthly (₹499) or Pro Yearly (₹3,999) and pay through Razorpay with UPI, card or netbanking. Pro switches on straight away.
Open any Instagram profile
Go to instagram.com in the same browser, make sure you're logged in, and open the profile you want to study.
Sort, export, transcribe
Click the Sortcut icon, pick what to rank by and how many posts, and press Sort this profile. The page reloads once and scrolls by itself while Sortcut collects posts. Then export to CSV, or click the transcript button on any reel.
Good to know
- Sorting a big profile takes a few minutes. Sortcut scrolls at a human pace so Instagram doesn't slow your account down.
- Views only exist on reels. Photo posts can be sorted by likes or comments.
- Private accounts only work if you already follow them.
- To get Instagram's normal grid back, click Restore original grid or refresh the page.
- Sortcut works on desktop only. There's no phone or Safari version.
